How to grow in peat based substrate (lightmix/allmix)
What is lightmix/allmix ?
Peat-based substrate is a popular growing medium used in gardening and hydroponic systems. It’s made from partially decomposed plant material—mainly Sphagnum peat moss—that has built up in peat bogs over thousands of years.
This type of substrate gives plants a good structure to grow in, holds water well, and contains some natural nutrients. Peat also helps keep the pH level stable, which makes it suitable for many different types of plants.
Peat-based mixes often include other materials like perlite, vermiculite, sand, limestone, or fertilizers. These additions improve drainage, aeration, and nutrient levels. The result is a well-balanced growing medium that works for vegetables, herbs, flowers, and ornamental plants. It can also be easily adjusted to meet the specific needs of different crops.
When you are using peat based substrate to grow your plants, you can use our Bioline for organic growing or our Mineral line for a more high yield oriented technique !
To improve the characteristics of the peat substrate you can use our Enhancer that works as a soil conditioner/soil enhancer.

How peat became the most used substrate in horticulture:
