Calcium content in water
SOURCE OF WATER THAT CONTAINS LITTLE TO NO CALCIUM (below 40 PPM Ca)
Purer water sources with less than 40 ppm Ca and lower alkalinity (andlt;150 ppm CaCO3) will need to get our calcium additive; for soil our Calcium EDTA is perfect, when our Calmag will be perfect for any hydro set up.
These products will provide elevated levels of necessary calcium.
SOURCE WATER CONTAINS A MODERATE CONCENTRATION OF CALCIUM (40-70 PPM Ca)
Water sources containing 40-70 ppm Ca and high alkalinity (andgt;150 ppm CaCO3), half dosage of Calmag/Calcium EDTA is perfect for that type of water.
SOURCE WATER CONTAINS ELEVATED LEVELS OF CALCIUM (andgt;100 PPM Ca)
Water sources containing 100 ppm Ca or more will typically be associated with high alkalinity. For these water sources, an acidic fertilizer without calcium will be most suitable. All our base fertilizer from the mineral line will work perfectly with that type of water (Grow, Hybrids, Long/Short Flowering)
No need to add calcium additive !
